Financial Support

Choosing where and how you live when you're older is one of life's major decisions.  How you pay for your sheltered housing will depend on your individual circumstances.  Whilst Abbeyfield Reigate cannot offer financial advice in making this important decision, we do have experience of the various ways our residents fund ongoing rental costs which include:

  • A combination of pensions, housing benefit and/or personal savings

  • Where families don't want to sell your current home it is possible that renting it could provide a monthly income higher than the costs of living at Abbeyfield

  • Most of our residents benefit from Attendance Allowance - this is a benefit that is not means tested and provides a minimum of £260 per month

Abbeyfield Reigate welcomes all potential residents regardless of their financial means and will be happy to talk through any questions you may have.

When making a comparison between the cost of living at home and the cost of living at Abbeyfield, the table below shows the daily living costs that are included in your Abbeyfield rent.
